Chantilly
Chantilly
A Queer Fiction Novel
Chantilly was once the centre of attention, captivating audiences with his dazzling drag performances and larger-than-life personality. Now, the sequined gowns he once wore with pride gather dust in the back of his closet. After a late HIV diagnosis, he resolves to take control of his fate—on his own terms. But when his attempt to end it all fails, Chantilly is forced to confront a haunting question: does he truly want to leave this world unfulfilled and alone?
An unexpected encounter with three strangers sends his life in a direction he never could have imagined. Their lives intertwine in ways that will change them all forever, leading each of them to discover the profound strength of platonic friendship and professional support.
Set against the vibrant yet tumultuous backdrop of early 1990s London, Chantilly is a heartfelt and humorous exploration of the power of human connection and the life-changing realisation that we don’t have to face our struggles alone.
